Tuesday, June 25th, 2013: The Bronx Bombers will have to do without starting pitcher Cecil Gibbons even longer than expected. Team doctors say that Gibbons's recovery from a strained triceps has not gone well and more time will be needed to treat it successfully. The Bombers trainer indicated it would be at least 2 weeks before they would consider activating Gibbons.
In 14 starts this season Gibbons has crafted a 6-6 record with a 2.72 ERA.
