Monday, May 20th, 2013: It was some kind of week for Ed Griffin of the Astoria Argonauts. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .435 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Blake Camden League. Last week Griffin went 10-23, chalked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Not a bad week's work at all.
In 27 games Griffin is hitting .374 this season with 37 hits, 4 home runs, 21 RBIs, 10 walks, .427 OBP and has scored 20 runs.
