Monday, May 13th, 2013: Brian Howard expressed his disappointment when he learned that a stretched elbow ligament would sideline him for 10 months. "I'll just spend a lot of time in the training room and hopefully speed up the healing process. Nobody likes to be out of the line-up," explained Howard. The reliever got hurt in today's game with the Chicago Titans. He was hurt throwing a pitch. Team officials had no comment on his roster replacement.
During this season Howard has delivered 0 saves. In 13 relief appearances, he has 12 strikeouts in 12 innings with a 5.25 ERA and no wins and no losses.
