 | McJannett Sensational, 6-7 Tuesday, May 7th, 2013: "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what El Paso center fielder Daniel McJannett said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 6-7 day against the Billings Mustangs. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." However, his sensational day wasn't enough. The Mustangs won the ballgame 18-14. The disappointed McJannett said to reporters, "I guess you can't always have it all." He added, tongue in cheek, "I guess it's better to go 6 for 7 and lose than it is to go 0 for 7 and lose." Daniel McJannett hit a three-run double in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 15th. Thus far this season McJannett is hitting .238 with 3 home runs, 17 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 130 at-bats and has played in 33 games. |   |
