Friday, May 3rd, 2013: "Sometimes I was smart... and sometimes just a little lucky." That's how Chandler Matthews of the Bristol City Smugglers described his shutout victory over the Chicago Titans. Matthews blanked them 4-0 on 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking 3.
Matthews has nailed down no saves for the year. He has also totaled 25 strikeouts and 24 walks in 33.1 innings while registering a 5.67 ERA and a 2-2 won-lost record.
