 | Pérez Goes 5-5 Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013: Miguel Pérez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Durham right fielder had a field day in the 8-5 triumph over the Mdewanketon Sabercats, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Pérez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Miguel Pérez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Kyle Black in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. |   |
