 | So Cal Swaps Martin to South Carolina for Frost Sunday, December 2nd, 2012: The Republic and Bombers pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 22-year-old minor league starting pitcher John Martin and 20-year-old minor league starting pitcher José Carreón head to South Carolina in exchange for 37-year-old reliever Stanford Howard, 34-year-old minor league right fielder Artie Adams, 38-year-old catcher Bill Hamlyn, 21-year-old second baseman Joe Frost, 32-year-old minor league right fielder Lorenzo León and 22-year-old minor league closer Billy Turner. A source close to So Cal officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." |   |
