 | More Woes For Jacks Joe MacKnight
Tuesday, September 18th, 2012: "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Jacks clubhouse today as it was learned that second baseman Joe MacKnight will be out for an added 4 days as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for knee inflammation will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Jacksonville second baseman told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Joe gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer.
This season MacKnight has hit at a .244 clip and produced 42 RBI, 10 home runs and 52 runs.
