 | Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Toreros Denton
Sunday, September 9th, 2012: Yesterday Cabo San Lucas shortstop Ed Denton sustained a setback in his recovery from a partially torn labrum. The Toreros medical staff told him it would be at least 1-2 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Denton told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Denton worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal.
In his 2012 season totals, Denton has 1 home run, .290 BA, .352 OBP, 46 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
