 | Collins Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, September 7th, 2012: Chris Collins has been ripping hits every day for quite some time, and no team seems to be able to stop him. The Montgomery right fielder got 1 hit today against the So Cal Republic and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Mountain Cats won the game 4-1. Chris Collins hit a solo-shot off Homer Walker in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. Looking at his season stats, Collins has compiled a .373 batting average and a .434 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 93 runs. |   |
