 | St. John Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 24th, 2012: Las Vegas's 30-year-old right fielder Colin St. John has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today St. John extended the streak by going 1-2 against Evil Empire pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. St. John always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Jokers 5-1 triumph over Los Angeles at Lucky 7 Ballpark he downplayed his part in the victory. Colin St. John walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Davey Holmes in the 4th, walked in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.
St. John is currently batting .332 with 31 home runs and 118 RBIs. | |
