 | Los Angeles's Rose Shines, Shuts out Eureka Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012: The Eureka Hornets were almost helpless today in their 11-0 loss to Los Angeles hurler Kent Rose. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 4-hit shutout. The Eureka manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Rose. He kept us off balance all night." Rose said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way." He had 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance. So far this year Rose has delivered 3 saves. In 37 relief appearances he has 128 strikeouts in 143.2 innings with a 2.32 ERA and 7 wins and 5 losses. |   |
