Carolina's Gleave Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Monday, August 20th, 2012: It seemed that Carolina shortstop Jeremy Gleave could do no wrong today, but it still didn't come out right. The Crush still dropped the game to the 84's by the score of 11-7. He did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Greenville prevailed in the ballgame at Michigan & Trumball.

"I felt real good today, but my best just wasn't enough. We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play. The balls just fell in for base hits. Some days they do that," Gleave explained in the postgame press interview.

Jeremy Gleave doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off James MacCune in the 9th.

Thus far this season Gleave is hitting .241 with 13 home runs, 55 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 382 at-bats and has played in 98 games.
