Wednesday, August 15th, 2012: All is not well with Aurelio Ramírez in his recovery from a sore hand. The 23-year-old Crush starting pitcher has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Ramírez and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling pretty good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A postworkout examination revealed that Ramírez had reinjured himself and would now miss at least 4 days because of it.
In 26 starts this year Ramírez has posted 12 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 188.2 innings, allowed 156 hits, struck out 172 and has a 3.43 ERA.
