 | Yates Holds Republic Scoreless Wednesday, August 8th, 2012: In an excellent mound performance, Eric Yates of the San Francisco Earthquakes whitewashed the So Cal Republic 4-0 on a 2-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The So Cal manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Yates did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the San Francisco hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win. |   |
