 | Ann Arbor, Jacksonville Deal Made Monday, July 30th, 2012: A trade was announced today at a press conference in Ann Arbor. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Ann Arbor Barn Owls general manager shook things up by acquiring 31-year-old starting pitcher Jim Thompson and 29-year-old center fielder Héctor Ramírez from the Jacksonville Jacks for 31-year-old left fielder Corbin Butler, 24-year-old minor league reliever Christopher Green, 19-year-old minor league reliever Eduardo Gamboa and 19-year-old minor league starting pitcher Franck Bourgoin. The Barn Owls general manager said, "We're a better team now. We've added several pieces to the puzzle." This season Butler is batting .288 with 47 RBIs, 51 runs scored and 14 home runs. This year Ramírez is batting .303 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs. In 91 games he has scored 48 times. |   |
