 | 5-Hit Game for Anderson Monday, July 30th, 2012: It seemed that Los Angeles catcher Elroy Anderson could do no wrong as the Evil Empire kayoed the Jacks 2-0 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 9 at-bats. Jacksonville pitchers couldn't get him out as Anderson seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Evil Empire were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Jacksonville fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Anderson in the postgame press interview. Elroy Anderson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, grounded out in the 15th, walked in the 17th, grounded out in the 19th and singled in the 21st. Thus far this year Anderson is batting .234 with 2 home runs, 36 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |   |
