 | 21-Game Streak Ends, Bentley Hitless Saturday, July 28th, 2012: The Dallas Texans pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Marlon Bentley hitless in 4 at-bats during a 1-0 victory over the Nottinghamshire Outlaws at Metroplex Park. This disappointing performance ended his 21-game hitting streak.
"I'm a little down right now," Bentley said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Looking at his present stats, Bentley has compiled a .300 batting average in 79 games with a .344 on-base percentage, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 45 runs. | |
