 | Toreros Pitching Ravaged by Everett Wednesday, June 20th, 2012: Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Chance Everett. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Toreros, but his Evil Empire were beaten 8-7 anyway. The Los Angeles left fielder stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Cabo San Lucas and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. 5-for-6! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too." Chance Everett hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Wilfred Brooks in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 11th. This season Everett is batting .306 with 89 hits and 15 home runs. He has scored 55 times and has 49 runs batted in. |   |
