Monday, June 18th, 2012: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Roberto Clemente League, but last week Lorenzo Rodríguez of the Ann Arbor Barn Owls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Rodríguez rocked opposing pitching for a .560 average (14-25), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award.
In 66 games this season Rodríguez has batted at a .400 pace with 96 hits and 28 home runs.
