Sunday, June 3rd, 2012: "I'm frustrated right now," said Eureka right fielder Mike Bergeron. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Hornets, that's where he will be spending 4 weeks. Bergeron suffered knee tendinitis in today's game against San Diego while running the bases. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
In his stats this season, Bergeron has posted a batting average of .265 with 60 hits in 226 at-bats, 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. He has also scored 34 runs, walked 25 times and compiled a .346 OBP.
