 | Mountain Cats Baker Suffers Injury Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012: The Montgomery Mountain Cats were dealt a severe blow when Troy Baker was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. After the game, the team trainer reported Baker might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Baker at least 12 months to heal.
Season-to-date Baker has rung up 3 wins and 4 losses in 10 appearances. He has an ERA of 5.47 and has fanned 36 batters in 49.1 innings. | |
