 | Ruíz Stops Jacksonville Cold Thursday, May 17th, 2012: The Jacksonville Jacks met their match today in Mile High hurler Manuel Ruíz. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 6-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," the Jacksonville skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow." In the 2-0 victory Ruíz whiffed 4 and gave up 1 walk. Thus far this season Ruíz has posted a 5-3 record, started 9 games, struck out 44 batters in 75.1 innings and compiled a 1.55 ERA. |   |
