 | Palgani Beaned During Batting Practice
Friday, May 4th, 2012: Kansas City starting pitcher Fabrizio Palgani was taken to a local hospital earlier this evening when he was struck in the temple by a wayward pitch during batting practice. Palgani, who managed to remain on his feet after the impact, complained of a headache and double-vision moments later. "He pretty well got his clock cleaned," said teammate Marshall Olsen, who witnessed the incident. A CAT-scan revealed no evidence of a concussion or other injuries and Palgani was cleared to return to practice. However, manager Damian Connor said Palgani would be held out of the lineup for the Tornadoes next game as a precaution.
