 | Boyd and Andrews Suspended 6 Games For Brawl Thursday, September 19th, 2013: Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to San Francisco's Haden Boyd and Jersey's Jon Andrews. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 6 games for their aggressive actions. "I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Jesters said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead." Currently Boyd is hitting .267 and has collected 13 home runs, 66 RBIs and scored 51 times, while playing in 118 games. In 22 starts this season, Andrews has picked up 8 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 142 innings, allowed 151 hits, struck out 82 and posted a 4.94 ERA. |   |
