Thursday, September 12th, 2013: "I have absolutely had it with you guys. You think it's easy to play this game? Why don't you stand in for batting practice or take a couple hundred hot grounders off the shins?" said a clearly upset Santiago Núñez of the Jacks. And that excerpt was just what we could print. Núñez unleashed a profanity-laced tirade at a press conference with the local media this afternoon in response to questions about his not-so-stellar play this season. Manager Gilberto Madrid and teammate Harvey Gilbert had to step in to protect the media from a potential physical confrontation. Madrid added, "We'll deal with this internally." Rumor has it that Núñez will be benched for the team's next game.
