 | Peņa Takes Charge, Blanks Kansas City Saturday, September 7th, 2013: The Kansas City Tornadoes were almost helpless today in their 7-0 loss to Nottinghamshire hurler Domingo Peņa. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 4-hit shutout. The Kansas City manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Peņa. He kept us off balance all night." Peņa said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way." He had 4 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance. Over the season, Peņa has made no relief appearances with no saves. He has K'd 52 batters in 117.1 innings, yielded 42 walks and has a 4.30 ERA. Peņa's record this year is 8-5. |   |
