 | Crush Chill Crawford's Hot Streak Monday, September 2nd, 2013: It was the best of both worlds for the Carolina Crush today at Field de Los Layendas as they defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros 6-5 and also ended Dennis Crawford's 20-game hitting streak. The 27-year-old Cabo San Lucas left fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Dennis, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Crush skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Crawford frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game." So far this year in 126 games Crawford is hitting .340 with 3 home runs, 51 RBIs and 89 runs scored. |   |
