Monday, September 2nd, 2013: The Montgomery Mountain Cats will have to make do without Charles O'Connor for 4-5 months. He suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Boston Cardinals. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the reliever. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back."
This season O'Connor has been credited with 5 saves. In 73 relief appearances and 93 innings he has a 5-5 won-lost mark, 1.26 ERA and 97 strikeouts
