 | Jokers Gould Stops Cardinals Sunday, August 18th, 2013: "Maurice Gould is really a good pitcher when he throws strikes early in the count," said his manager after the Las Vegas hurler tossed a complete game 3-hit shutout against the Boston Cardinals. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Gould. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Gould walked 0 and struck out 9 in the 7-0 victory. Looking at his season stats, Gould has won 20 and lost 3, collecting 253 strikeouts and 26 walks in 201.2 innings with a 2.10 ERA. |   |
