 | Big Trade: Rudyard for Thornton Thursday, August 1st, 2013: The Las Vegas Jokers and Montreal Bandits have finalized a huge trade involving 35-year-old starting pitcher Bob Rudyard, 33-year-old center fielder Bob Reece and 22-year-old minor league closer Chris Mills for the Jokers and 31-year-old center fielder Gordon Thornton, 24-year-old closer Ray Brady and 19-year-old minor league catcher Alfredo Villalobos for the Bandits. "Deals like this are hard to get settled," confessed the Las Vegas GM. "you have so many issues that could become deal-breakers."
This season Rudyard has compiled a 4-3 record with a 1.89 ERA in 9 starts.
Currently Thornton has 12 home runs and a .273 batting average. |   |
