 | Bergeron Chosen #1 Player Monday, July 29th, 2013: Mike Bergeron demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. The Eureka right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .462 average (12-26) with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. So far this season Bergeron is hitting .355 with 27 home runs, 90 RBIs and 87 runs scored. He has 144 hits in 406 at-bats and a .428 OBP. |   |
