 | RCL Player of the Week Selected Monday, July 29th, 2013: 26-year-old Millard Shafer sent shock waves through Adult Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Shafer made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .632 average, 12 hits in 19 at-bats, 2 home runs and 10 RBI. Where the Montreal Bandits third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Shafer certainly made his mark last week. To date this season Shafer is hitting .270 with 3 home runs. |   |
