Wednesday, July 24th, 2013: The Montgomery Mountain Cats learned that Craig O'Day is likely to be out for 4 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Kansas City Tornadoes. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a strained oblique. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Montgomery manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Craig is back in action."
This year O'Day is hitting .308 with 120 hits, 34 home runs, 84 RBIs and has scored 76 runs.
