 | Hits Galore: Morales Drills 5 Hits Friday, July 19th, 2013: History in the making. That's what the fans at Huron River Park got to see today in the Ann Arbor 8-7 triumph over the Mustangs. Francisco Morales of the Mile High came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against the Barn Owls. "It was a great day for me, but a disappointing one for our fans," he said to the reporters covering the game. "I wish I could have won it for them. They like stats, but they love winning." In the postgame press conference the Ann Arbor skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink. I am just glad we escaped with a win. Morales was lethal." Francisco Morales doubled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Thompson in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th and singled in the 14th. This year Morales is hitting .225 with 11 home runs. |   |
