 | 22-Game Streak Ends, Yánez Hitless Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013: So Cal triumphed over San Diego today 4-1. However, that was not the whole story. Republic left fielder Alfredo Yánez failed to get a hit for the first time in 22 games. Yánez went hitless in 4 at-bats and had his streak broken. Commenting to reporters at his press conference, he said, "Some days the past few weeks I carried the club, today they carried me. No matter what, it is always good to win a ballgame." Currently Yánez has 19 home runs and a .383 batting average. |   |
