 | Top Thurman Munson League Newcomer Named Saturday, June 1st, 2013: This month Jesús Guareno bashed, belted and battered just about every Thurman Munson League pitcher in his path as he put up some substantial numbers to win the Rookie of the Week honors. Day in and day out throughout May, the Georgia left fielder punished opposing teams with base hits, finishing with a .340 average. Guareno went 36-106 in 27 games with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs, and 16 runs scored. This year Guareno is hitting .323 with 5 home runs and 21 RBIs in 49 games played.
