Friday, May 31st, 2013: John Woodard of the Jersey Jesters was injured in today's game against Nottinghamshire and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a strained lat and he is expected to be out for up to 5 weeks. It happened while Woodard was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
So far this season Woodard is hitting .342 with 13 home runs.
