 | Tornadoes Gómez Blanks Mile High Thursday, May 23rd, 2013: António Gómez of the Kansas City Tornadoes spun his magic on the Mile High Mustangs today. He blanked them 8-0 on 4 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Gómez said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Kansas City skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." Currently Gómez has a record of 6-4 with 62 strikeouts and 28 walks in 80 innings and a 3.60 ERA. |   |
