 | Padgett Rips Las Vegas for 5 Hits Thursday, May 23rd, 2013: It seemed that Eureka left fielder Andrew Padgett could do no wrong as the Hornets kayoed the Jokers 6-5 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Las Vegas pitchers couldn't get him out as Padgett seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Hornets were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Las Vegas fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Padgett in the postgame press interview. Andrew Padgett hit a solo-shot off Christian Clark in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Padgett is batting .347 with 66 hits, 1 home run, 13 RBIs, .400 OBP and has scored 36 runs. |   |
