 | Sasquatch Lyons Gets No-Hitter Thursday, May 16th, 2013: In a brilliant performance at Sick's Stadium, Seattle pitcher Nolan Lyons entered an elite group today by tossing a no-hitter against the Carolina Crush. Hurling a complete game he fanned 10 and walked 2 in the 14-0 victory. In the clubhouse, Lyons said, "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball. My guys made some nice plays behind me, too, and cut off several hits." This year Lyons has made 9 starts, thrown 60 innings, fanned 49 batters and walked 21. His won-lost record is 6-0 with a 2.70 ERA. |   |
