 | Done Deal: Everett for McGee Monday, April 22nd, 2013: Several Ghost Busters and Capitalists players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Georgia will get 25-year-old right fielder Jake McGee, 18-year-old minor league shortstop José Gómez, 18-year-old minor league left fielder Júlio García and 17-year-old minor league reliever José Leal and Washington will pick up 30-year-old closer José Guevara, 30-year-old left fielder Chance Everett and 33-year-old first baseman Joseph McKee in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Ghost Busters."
Everett currently has a .299 batting average with 23 hits, 7 homers, 15 RBIs, 20 runs scored and a .365 OBP.
In his season totals, McGee has 2 home runs, .230 BA, .305 OBP, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 19 games. |   |
