 | Strained PCL Shelves Jones for Next 3 Weeks Saturday, April 20th, 2013: What was originally thought to be a minor injury has turned into a major headache for John Jones and the Jesters. Jones suffered the injury while out for a morning run. "All I felt at the time was a little pull and some soreness," said the Jersey reliever. "Then it gradually became more painful." An MRI revealed that Jones has a strained posterior cruciate ligament, which will keep him out of action for about 3 weeks. "We'll just have to make do without him and hope he's back with the team soon," said manager Cal Bell. Asked if the team is exploring replacement options for Jones, Bell said, "We'll re-evaluate the situation in 3 weeks, but I really doubt we'll need to worry past that point." | |
