Monday, April 8th, 2013: Gary McLernon, known affectionately as "the old man" by the younger players in the Hornets clubhouse, showed his teammates how to do it last week -- and in the process the 36-year-old vet beat out all competition for the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award.
He put up a .500 batting average, 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 1 home run and 7 RBIs. McLernon also scored 5 runs.
